juxtapose.

yesterday, the roommate and i ventured to the de young museum to see bouquets to art–a four day exhibit where local florists create floral masterpieces to accompany the museum’s collection. and well, wow.  it was absolutely phenomenal. for starters, i love the de young and they have a pretty spectacular collection start with and the flowers just enhanced the museum and collection’s beauty. there were a few juxtapositions where i did not see the connection but when they worked–they worked. here are a few of my favorites (ok, i had a lot of favorites).

unfortunately, the exhibit ended today so ya’ll missed it–but i highly recommend marking your calendars for next year. or if you aren’t a sf-local, many other museums have similar events. (hey, milwaukee: flowers in bloom begins march 31).
