i think i may have found my calling: to become a jewish grandmother–i know i’m a few decades early, but despite my lack of grandchildren (& children) i sure can prepare a feast like one. monday night was the first night of passover, and i celebrated with food. lots and lots of food. i shvitzed in the kitchen for hours over a hot stove creating a delicious 5 course meal that would serve 20. crazy, right? i don’t know what i was thinking–but hey, now i can have kugel for days!note to self: get matching table settings.
gefilte fish–the only part of the meal that is not from scratch.
curry deviled eggs–and truly devilish, those little suckers did not want to come out of their shells!
matzoh ball soup.
roasted veggie and tilapia salad with orange cumin vinagrette.
the most addicting&delicious treat ever and it’s ridiculously simple to make: chocolate toffee matzah.
add a few glasses of wine to the mix and we had a delightful evening. and thank moses, there was no one there to force me into reading the four questions!
who’s making reservations for next year?
