i never really got those people that didn’t like their birthday–sure, you’re getting older or whatever, but it’s your day. everyone has to be nice to you. you get presents. you get cake. you get your favorite meal. you have a party. but most of all, there’s just that feeling–it’s your birthday. well, tomorrow is mine. twentyfour. tonight at midnight (actually, tomorrow morning at 7:26) i will be a year older. a year wiser. but hopefully, not a year larger. twentythree treated me pretty well–a spectacular adventure, to say the least. and i have high hopes for 24. and at midnight, you will find me dancing. but for now, i’m savoring my last 7 1/2 hours in oddity.
