writing on the walls.

I spent my birthday devouring moca’s art in the streets. this all-encompassing exhibit on the history of graffiti is the first of its kind. and well, it was pretty awesome.  i went in with no expectations but many preconceptions–graffiti isn’t really my thing. it doesn’t feed to my aesthetic and often infuriates me::why would you want to deface a beautiful piece of architecture? but i digress. despite my often negative opinions on the art, moca curated this exhibit flawlessly.

anti-graffiti initiatives.

guernica remixed.

i absolutely love this one.

every detail thought out: even the bathrooms had graffiti.

honestly, i was blown away. a spectacular look at true contemporary art.
