flowers shall grow…& that is eternity.

i spent the weekend in ashford, wa in the foothills of mt. rainier with my two beautiful best friends. it’s become a tradition of ours to take advantage of the spirituality of nature on yom kippur, instead of staring blankly at the siddur in temple. the beauty of nature is the perfect backdrop to peacefully reflect on the past year and meditate on plans&promises for the next.

while walking along the river, we found a dozen crisp roses scattered across its bank. a bittersweet reminder of both the beauty and sadness each of us had encountered in the past year.

…and so it is sealed.
