children who love.

maurice georges chanu–les enfants qui s’aiment c. 1940

a few weeks ago i headed to bergamot station, to see ‘brassaï and other vintage noir photographers’ at dnj gallery. i went for the works of brassaï and cartier-bresson but fell in love with this print by chanu. i love the grit and glamour of early 20th century street photography–and this photograph perfectly exemplifies that duality.

just a little vintage photography for your monday…
