flat.

duncan wood, 2004 // beeches, 2004

i stumbled upon these amazing photographs by zander olsen–they blur the line between foreground and background. and i think they are stunningly beautiful. i love the idea of creating art by flattening a three dimensional space.

flat line, 2005 // no mans land, 2004
jhutti, 2005 // gustav klimt--beech grove I, 1902

and i can’t seem to ignore the similarity to klimt’s beech grove I.

pretty great, right?
