  1. Greetings. I have enjoyed your website and your outlook on life. I came across it because I did a search on “Sunshine Superman” and the photograph of (perhaps) you holding the album with such joy and appreciation caught my limited eye. I was writing a fiction book titled “Season of the Witch” and was looking for some cover art, and I thought this was the perfect photograph. I had an artist do a crude drop-in, changing the vehicles in the background to more appropriate vehicles for the time: a ’64 Mustang and a mid-sixties VW Beetle. The quality of the look went down, but the content was more what was needed. I write to you to ask your permission to use the art if I publish, which, in sixty years, I have never actually done (in terms of fiction), so it’s highly unlikely. Still, I have been using the cover to show to readers and I think you should have the option of saying no. I will gladly forward the art to you for your perusal. In any event, it was a great picture and I am pleased that between forty and fifty years after the fact, Donovan still stirs some interest. as ever, WO

leave some love.
